Jericho & Success are now connected by road riding into town. Gas and food are now accessable by trail.

All we could get in. To get Jericho to be free of certain criteria, personal agreements were made for no 'aggressive riding'.

The multi-use black diamonds were the most we could get in the Master Plan...

Huh?
Actually there are THREE with the newest fianally opening last week Just in time for the Jericho ATV Festival....I'ts called "Rene's Maze"(rainEES maze)
and its on the New Jericho Map pdf file http://www.nhstateparks.org/uploads/JerichoMtnSPTrailsMay2010.pdf , if your wondering it's a 1.7 to 1.9 miles long and much more difficult the Erik's way or Ann's Bumps which have been open for a while now......
*the difference in miles is due to the tires not touching the ground most of the time!) If you want a real good workout on the arms and legs this is the trail for you! There are plans to make Erik's way much longer in the near future.....and plans
for more Black Diamond trails in some of the Numerous Clear cuts now in the Park. If you were thinking that the park was going to be JUST for Beginners....NOPE! Cool [img][/img][img][/img]

I'm not even sure the Park is going to be the Park.
A lot of legislators are upset on both sides of the aisle.

anyone planning on doing the Mt. Washington ride on the 25th? I am going to spend the morning at Mt. Washington and spend the rest of the day at Jericho Park.

Just a reminder to pass on to you......and face book friends too!
July has us once again in the North Country,
Holding our 11th Annual “Gerry’s Ride extravaganza" to include riding in the Jericho Park, Millsfield/Errol Poker Run
and of course the Atv Ride up the MT. WASHINGTON AUTO ROAD!

Friday July 23rd, we will ride Jericho ATV Park. Meeting at 10:00AM in Jericho motor sports parking lot on RT#110 in Berlin NH.
Take RT#16N to RT#110 Jericho motor sports is several miles up on the right side of the road

Saturday July 24th we are doing a poker run with the Millsfield/Errol ATV Clubs, Starting at 8:00AM at their club parking lot.
Take RT#16N into Errol NH. Follow the Androscoggin River thru Berlin, Milan, Dummer and into Errol .
Watch for a bridge crossing the river on the right and just before that bridge(Seven Islands Br.) there is a dirt road leading to the parking area.(Millsfield Pond Rd.)
It is about 5 miles down on the right. Watch for signage and Millsfield ATV staff.

There will be a buffet style lunch back at the parking area afterwards for a nominal fee/donation. The trails have recently been greatly expanded and about to be connected
to several other trail systems in the North Country, Come and enjoy.

Sunday July 25th
is the "BIG ONE", MT. Washington Auto Road ATV climb 6,200 ft of pure alpine splendor and mother nature at her best and maybe her worst.
Plan on meeting in the REAR PARKING AREA where the big white tent is, at 8:00AM. Look for the club trailers for tickets and club merchandise and COOL T-Shirts..
As always lunch includes cheese burgers, hamburgers, hot dogs, cookies and soda and water.

NEW RULES FROM THE AUTO ROAD (not NHATV club)

You must be registered in the state of NH. No other state registration will be accepted; you must have a valid driver’s license and be at least 16 years of age.

New for 2010 you must be a member of the NHATV club (not our rule). The auto road has agreed to allow us to issue a 30 day temporary membership.
For all non members wishing to ride the Big One this membership entitles its holder to all club benefits and at least 1 Newsletter. A cost of $2.00 will be incurred. (Sorry)
Ticket costs this year are $25.00 for single ATV. With an additional $8.00 for a passenger on a "2 up" machine (must be factory manufactured for 2 riders)

Last ride up the mountain leaves at 1pm

All riders must wear helmets

All riders must remain seated, no standing up on pegs (not our rule)

All riders must stay in a single file, no passing. (Not our rule)

All riders must stay on the auto road, stay out of maintenance areas!!!

No wheelies, burn outs or doing doughnuts will be tolerated in any form, state or manner, anywhere on the auto road property~!!!!!!!!!!!!

A maximum speed of 20mph is being enforced.

Any person or persons who violates these rules will be escorted off the premises immediately, WITHOUT A REFUND

With all those rules it would turn most people off.
I guess at this point I will wait for No more Atv's allowed. They usually make 3000 to 4000 dollars off this event in a couple of hours. Guess MT. Washington doesn't want money.

Stu did this ride once and I've wanted to do it, but something else has always been going on, so when I first saw the title of this thread, I thought about it.

I already knew some of it, like the fact my kids can't go. But I understand there are insurance requirements and it IS a road.

But a rule about my butt's contact with my seat?

Please. We'll take the kids up there by car this summer. I might even roll down my window and stick my arm out of the moving vehicle, just to be a rebel.
