congrats Vern
thought I was doing good but I'm now joining this group
I'm a sub contractor that has been lucky so far but I am just about out of work and it doesn't look good
so if anyone knows a contractor that needs help I was a framing forman for 12 years and have done finish for the last 2

I'll keep an eye out while I'm searching for a job myself.
A friend That has his own business (construction) is looking for a full time job as a cook. He's 54 and looking for something with benies.

I'll keep an eye out for you as well. This economy sucks! There are way too many hard working Americans taking a hit right now

I have a friend who is a contractor with very little work too. He went thru his old jobs and sent out letters to all his past jobs asking for work. He mentioned the fact that he is looking for work and will do any job for less!!!you may want to do the same...
get a hold of all your past contracts and hit the phones, you may be surpised!

i was thinkin of doin the same,,,i have hundreds of contacts over the years,,,customers or contractors,,,just got to get in touch with them and re-aquaint...maybe alittle arse-kissin,,,the one advantage to this economy is people are llooking for a better deal,,,just got to be that person... |

spend a day putting together a list of people you want to get in touch with. Keep a spread sheet of who you call, who you left a message for, who is interested, and most of all follow up on your leads.....(Sales 101)........I have spread sheets and documents that can be very helpful if anyone needs em......PM me....

Good luck Todd, any job is a good job at this point, even though you really don't need the money. What with your wife's big job and you kids winning all those skateboard competitions!!!
