I am pleased to announce the addition of Tamarack ATV Products to the list of site sponsors here at ATVAlliance.Com.

Tamarack ATV is one of the fastest-growing companies in the ATV industry. Since their only business is the specialty products, they ensure that your needs and expectations are not only met, but exceeded.

Recognized worldwide, the Tamarack Quad Trunk™ and its successors can be found around every corner on ATVs. Not all ATV boxes are created equal. Tamarack boxes are made from UV-stabilized, virgin linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE). Other boxes made of re-ground plastics or high-density polyethylene (HDPE) will not withstand the same abuse that a Tamarack can. LLDPE has greater impact resistance since it is not rigid and brittle like HPDE. Our boxes will withstand an impact of 50 foot pounds even at a chilling negative 40 degrees!

So do yourself a favor and give them a call (800-269-6701) or stop by their website (http://www.tamarackatv.com) to find out more.

Wounded Warrior Project PigRoast

BigRock Campground is hosting a pig roast on Sept. 5th from 4 to 6 pm. We have started to take reservations for that weekend and we have started to sell advance tickets for the event. The pig roast is $7.00 per person with 100% of that being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. The advance sale of the tickets is so I can get a head count so I know how many pigs to cook. It should be a great day with guided trail rides leaving here at 9 AM. Then we will be pulling the pig(s) around 3:30 for the beginning of the fiest.

So come ride with us around North Country ATV trails and then enjoy the mouth watering, melt in your mouth pig that only can be described by the seasonal campers as the Best They ever had. You can send checks and address to BigRock Campground 830 US Rte 3 N.Stratford NH 03590 603-922-3329 You will receive a numbered ticket which will gain you admission into the event. Please bring ticket. Donation can be made directly through the Wounded Warrior Project web site. We are featured on their calendar under Sept.5th. You can ride your ATV directly to the campground on trail. Thanks in advance Steve & Carla Allen

Victory!!!

For now, it is apparent that Senate Bill S 2772 has been stopped dead in its tracks. :applaudit: The formal session for the Mass. legislature ended about 10 minutes ago (July 31st, 12 midnight), and the bill never came to the floor, so it is dead unless it is brought up in an informal session; which is VERY unlikely. I will work to get more details on the rules of informal session in the next several days so we can all rest assured that kids will have the right to enjoy this family recreation for many years to come.

I would sincerely like to thank everyone who took the time to make a phone call, or drop an e-mail to their rep/senator. You are the people that made the difference here, and you deserve all of the credit, thanks so much for your devotion!

Marguerite Giourard (Catgirl) lost her battle with cancer on March 16th, 2008. Marguerite was a long time member of New Durham Valley ATV club and an ATV enthusiast. She was a courageous woman who shared her triumphs and struggles with the disease and touched the hearts of so many people.

Last year Marguerite suggested the proceeds from the NDVATV Halloween Ride be donated to Childhood Cancer Lifeline of New Hampshire and the club was honored. Marguerite was a passionate advocate for this strictly volunteer, non-profit organization that provides support and care for children and families facing cancer. In 2007, $1840.00 was raised by our group and Marguerite was proud to present the check along with Jack Wheeler to the CCL fund on behalf of her ATV club.

New Durham ATV Club would like to commemorate Marguerite for her efforts in raising cancer awareness. On October 19, 2008, NDVATV club invites you to Marguerite’s Annual Childhood Cancer Lifeline Halloween Ride. This will be an annual event with all proceeds to be presented to Childhood Cancer Lifeline of New Hampshire.

We sincerely thank the ATV community for their continuing support of this fund, as cancer touches us all. We urge you to unite and participate in this ride and our goal to raise more than last year’s contributions to this great cause in Marguerite’s memory.
